Whenever you want to try an app or a game, you have to download and install it first. You may then decide to keep it or delete it. Well, not any more. Google has announced a new service targeted towards Android gamers called Google Play Instant that lets you dive into a game or an app without installing it first.
With Google Play Instant, you can just tap and try a game without having to download it first—whether you’re looking to storm a castle on Clash Royale or become a wordmaster with Words with Friends 2. Google Play Instant experiences will be available in the Google Play Store, the Google Play Games app, or wherever game links are shared.
The new Instant games can be discovered by heading to the Google Play Games app, then to the “Arcade” tab and hitting the “Play” button on a game you would like to try. There, you will also be able to see things like news and YouTube videos related to the game. You can also head to the Google Play Store and hit the “Try now” button.
The feature is available in beta phase, which means only a few developers can take advantage of this feature. However, not all games support the new feature — at launch, you will be able to try Clash Royale, Words With Friends 2, Solitaire, Bubble Witch 3 Saga, and more.
