Google Glasses may hit markets next year

BANGALORE, INDIA: One of Google's ambitious technical products, the Google hi-tech goggles,  will be available in the market next year, according to reports. Google also released a video showing the various features and the uses of the Google glasses last week.

According to Google, its hi-tech glasses bridge the gap between computer information and worldly information. Reportedly, the technology behind this project is “augmented reality” that is incorporated in the latest smartphones and digital cameras.

“Augmented Reality” works by combining real world information with the information gathered from computer generated information (that is obtained by various techniques such as GPS) and displays the information to the users.

The Google Glasses consist of a transparent display that users have to wear over the eyes like normal glasses. They are even incorporated to sense voice commands. Not only this, the Google Glasses can even come with a camera and GPS that help to trace various locations and display useful details about the current location.

Another feature of the Google Glasses is that they can be connected to smartphones and calls can be made by users. Along with this, users can even click pictures and send messages as well.

As of now, the Google Glasses is only a concept. Let us wait for it to become a reality soon.
