Name a problem and Google fixes it for you. Sometimes, you don’t even ask and it rolls down easy solutions and ways for all your needs. In a latest, the search engine company has updated its Google Flights feature, to inform you in the case of an increase in airfare or even when the ticket prices are expected to go up.
The company will also let you hunt for, and find the cheapest possible tickets out of all available. There is more. The Hotels feature too gets an upgrade to aid you in finding best and cheapest hotel deals.
“This holiday season we’re making travel planning less stressful by updating you when flights are likely to increase in price, helping you find good hotel deals, and making travel planning easier on mobile,” reads the official Google’s post.
Previously, Google Flights included tools to see airline’s changing prices, like a calendar view of fares. It also notified you price changes for flights you’re tracking. The new version improves the functionality further, by also notifying you when the current fare is expected to expire, so you’ll know how much you can save by booking immediately.
Also, you can choose a route instead and get recommendations about the best possible flight for that route, based on factors like price, availability and so on. The Explore option could also be summoned to receive Google produced ideas about destinations you can visit.
Along with all the changes to the flight search engine, the company is also adding more features to hotel search, to help you find the best deals.
Before Google would label pricing that was lower than historical rates, or if discounts were available, but now you can toggle on a “deals” feature in order to only see these listings. The service will now alert you to savings that are available to loyalty members on the hotel’s website, says Google.
The new notifications are rolling out in the “coming weeks,” says Google.
After Google Trips and Destination, seems like Google now wants to make itself your de-facto travel planner and guide for the coming holiday season.
