Google, so far, has made lives easier by all means, and now it is experimenting with the ideas that would eventually take users' experience to the next level.
For example, have you ever thought that the speech bubbles from the comic books will start popping out from the pages one day? If your answer is no, then let me tell you that it's become a reality now- at least for digital comics versions, thanks to Bubble Zoom.
Google Play has already made it easier to read comics on mobile phone or tablet. Now it has announced Bubble Zoom which uses machine learning capability to recognize speech bubbles in comics and intelligently zoom into them for easier reading.
It uses the same technology which is used to recognize objects in photos, Bubble zoom can identify speech bubbles in comics and expands the speech bubbles of a comic one-tap-at-a-time, making them easy to read on mobile devices and most importantly it does this without compromising the full-page experience.
The experience is now available for Marvel and DC collected volumes on the latest version of Google Play Books app for Android.
