Google Assistant, Google's personal assistant is available on many recent phones and tablets for a while now. However, now Google is making the Google Assistant available on Android mobile phones running on Android Lolipop and tablets running on Android Nougat.
The company's blog post says that the assistant will help you perform actions like setting reminders, adding something to your shopping list, control your smart home, among other things by simply invoking Assistant by voice.
The Google Assistant is only available to users who set their language to English in the US, UK, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as to those who have set their default language to Spanish in the US, Mexico, and Spain. Google says it will also roll out to users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil, and Korea.
Earlier this year, Google Assistant made its way to devices running Android Nougat and Marshmallow. The Assistant on tablets will be rolling out over the coming week to users with the language set to English in the US.
