How is GeeksforGeeks changing online learning for computer science enthusiasts?

A venture by IIT Roorkee Alumni, Sandeep Jain, GeeksforGeeks began 11 years ago with a vision to create a platform to guide learners who were seeking the right direction. The forum at the beginning only focused on exploring and sharing information about different subject matters. But now, it has become more than just a platform. The Challenge

Particularly in the Ed-Tech domain, there are various challenges or pain points in the current times. For instance, technology is evolving so rapidly. Thus, the requirements of the recruiters from the candidates also vary significantly. Individuals are required to stay updated and equip themselves with the latest and in-demand tools and technologies. And to come up with quality content consistently for each and every latest tech trend to make the individuals industry-ready is quite a challenging job. Other than that, we aim to make learning experiences better than ever for the students. To make quality education accessible and affordable to everyone, these are some of the our prominent challenges.

The Solution

We're resolving the particular challenge of providing individuals the quality content on the latest tools & technologies and making them industry-ready by hiring the experts and professionals of the respective tech trend across the nation (and some of the hired ones are from other countries as well). These experts are doing their best to help out the students in all possible ways.

Just for an example, when a new update in a programming language comes - these professionals go through the entire documentation. Then, they come up with the simplified content for the users. Similarly, they are designing various specific courses based on respective technologies, programming languages, etc. We aim to make things easier for the people who take our courses. Also, these courses at GeeksforGeeks are being provided at very much affordable prices.

No one can deny that especially after this global pandemic and subsequent inclination towards online learning, there have come numerous opportunities for the ed-tech platforms. However, we at GeeksforGeeks, rather than considering it as an advantage are taking it more as a responsibility to come up with more sustainable and affordable solutions for all the individuals out there for making things much easier and convenient for them.

And with a similar cause, we're working on a lot of new ideas and business plans. For example, we have new online courses based on trending technologies as per the industry requirements. We also integrate advanced technologies on the platform to make the learning experience better for the students. Then there is free video content on YouTube and so much more.
