But, it's neither available in the Google Play store nor in Apple's App Store, the only way to download this through APK, which is an unsafe way to download. So, Are you ready to download an app which is not official? And the bigger questions are – Should you use GB WhatsApp over Official WhatsApp? Is it safe?
Still, there is a craze about this modded app just because of its features. Actually, this unofficial (modded) app offers you features which are not provided by the official Whatsapp.

Policy Violation
WhatsApp Policy - WhatsApp has strong policies to use its services. When you install the unofficial or modded app, WhatsApp can ban you for violating their terms of service.
Google and Apple - GB WhatsApp or any other modded app is not official, so they don’t get listing in the Google Play and App Store.
But what if you didn’t know this and installed GB WhatsApp, Whatsapp Plus, Yo Whatsapp, or any other? Don’t worry still you have the option to lift the ban or switch to official WhatsApp.
How to lift the WhatsApp ban?
Having Both Official and Unofficial Apps – If you have both on your device, then its recommended to remove the unofficial app after backing up all the chat and other data.
Having GB WhatsApp only – Take the backup of your data, remove the unofficial app and follow the instructions mentioned below.
Steps to back up chat and switch to official WhatsApp
The ban can be for a period of time, you can check the length of ban on your app, wait for your temporary ban to end.
In GB WhatsApp, tap More options > Chats > Back up chats.
Go to Phone Settings > tap Storage > Files.
Find the folder GB WhatsApp and tap and hold to select it.
In the upper right corner tap More > Rename and rename the folder to “WhatsApp”.

On the Backup found screen, tap Restore > Next.
WhatsApp should load with your existing chats.
Once you are done with all the steps and there is still no luck, then your last option is to reach WhatsApp support to lift the ban.
