IIT Bombay has declared the GATE 2021 result on March 19 at around 10 PM. The GATE result date 2021 as declared by the authorities was March 22, but we have been expecting the result anytime between March 18 and March 22. To check the results of the GATE exam, candidates should go to the official website of GATE 2021. Further, GATE 2021 result mentions the scores and rank obtained by the candidates. Hence, candidates are advised to download a print copy of the GATE 2021 result and keep it safe till the last date of admission. Candidates also need to note that only qualified candidates will be able to download the scorecard of GATE 2021 between March 26 to May 31.
The total count of candidates who appeared for the GATE 2021 exam was 7.1 lakhs. Of these, a total of 1.2 lakh (18%) candidates qualified for admission in Masters, PhD and various PSUs.
Steps to Download GATE 2021 Result
• Visit the official website of GOAPS
• Log in by entering email ID or enrolment number and password
• Download the scorecard of GATE 2021 in the form of a PDF.
• Take a print out of the same for future reference.
After the declaration of results, students can download GATE 2021 scorecard from the GOAPS portal. “In case, GATE qualified candidates require the soft copy of their GATE Scorecard after May 31 and till December 31, they MUST pay a fee of Rs 500 for obtaining the same. From January 1, 2022, onwards, no scorecard will be issued by GATE authority for GATE 2021 qualified candidates,” as per the official notice. The conducting authority will also not send any hardcopy of the GATE scorecard. Hence, candidates need to download and take a printout of their scorecard post its announcement.
Note: In case you don’t download the form in the given time, IIT Bombay will charge ₹ 500 from May 31 to December 31.
Opportunities with GATE 2021 Result
If you qualify for GATE 2021, you can apply to Various PSUs such as HAL, BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, etc. Many Government Organizations also may take your GATE score into account for recruitment purposes. Further, your GATE result can help you apply in foreign universities as well as for MTech and PhD in major engineering colleges in India. Some reports also suggest that you can get a scholarship from the Government with your GATE marks.
