Marking its seventh acquisition in 16 months, cloud-based customer support platform, Freshdesk has acquired Pipemonk, a data integration platform for an undisclosed amount.
Bangalore-based Pipemonk works on the SaaS model and allows companies to synchronise and automate their data flow across cloud business solutions. Founded by Satya Padmanabham and Ravi Madabhushi, Pipemonk serves more than 400 clients globally.
Freshdesk chief executive Girish Mathrubootham said, "The Pipemonk team will enhance Freshdesk's capabilities to integrate within our own products as well as external products. Having your apps talk to each other and enabling seamless flow of data plays an important role in any business today."
"Integration software has been traditionally complex, requiring a long onboarding process and requiring many engineering hours to have it done well. With the Pipemonk platform, we made it possible for even non-engineers to configure and run integration in a matter of minutes," said Padmanabham, co-founder of Pipemonk.
Founded in 2014, Pipemonk has raised over $2 million. With this acquisition, the Pipemonk team of 13 will work on strengthening integrations between the Freshdesk suites of products and expand third party integrations for the Fresh desk products.
Freshdesk acquired social platform Chatimity in October 2016. Prior to that, Freshdesk acquired Konotor, Airwoot, Framebench, Frilp, and 1CLICK.io, in 2016
