For this, it has migrated its applications from CA Technologies to CommVault.

The process:
It has deployed SAP HANA, Cisco UCS C240 servers, Nexus switches, NetApp storage, SUSE, Sybase DB, Microsoft SQL server, VMware hypervisor and CommVault data protection and information management solution to reduce costs, the company said in a press release.

The CommVault solution is managing a compressed 12 TB of database and file system back-up and recovery data by enabling centralized management of information, and ensuring business continuity.

Data is replicated from the primary data center in Noida to their DR site in Bengaluru.

Business outcomes:
Post deployment, the company has reduced storage related costs by 40 percent, slashed data at its source by 50 percent due to de-duplication and reduced time to manage data by 70 percent, as compared with their previous CA back-up solution.

A happy CIO speaks:
“One of the key reasons we chose Commvault software was it was one of the few solutions certified for SAP HANA. It also integrates seamlessly into our Cisco environment, which together provides us with the perfect combination to ensure a scalable data storage and management solution,” said Vineet Bansal, Chief Information Officer, Greenply.
