Without making much hullabaloo, Facebook has rolled out the Windows 10 version of its Messenger app with voice and video calling, according to VentureBeat.
The new update means that one doesn’t need to go to the browser to call up a friend. There’s a phone icon in the top right corner of your screen within a chat, and if the concerned person is active, you can call them.
Those who are yet to see the green mark will likely get it soon as a Facebook spokesperson told the publication that it only started rolling out last week.
The feature that comes a few months after the Facebook app for Windows 10 allowed users to record and share Live broadcasts from their desktop and tablet, also lets you get call notifications if someone rings you up and be able to leave voicemails in your friends' inboxes.
VentureBeat says you'll also be able to choose which camera to use, record your video calls and do group voice - not video, unfortunately - calls if the whole squad wants to chat.
Wait, there another piece of update feature. The social networking giant has also updated WhatsApp for Windows Phone with video calling capability, a Spanish website has reported. The feature, however, is an experimental release exclusively for select beta users
