Facebook’s Slideshow movie maker feature that was introduced on iOS in June this year is now being tested on the Android beta app. The feature will allow users to create their own slideshow of multiple photos and videos with music and post it on their Facebook wall.
Though Facebook first introduced its Slideshow feature in its ‘Moments‘ app but it was later rolled into the company’s iOS app. However, it came with a catch and the users were not able to find an option to create a slide show inside the app. It was only with a slideshow already posted in their News Feed, the users were able to discover the feature.
Facebook had then offered around 10 themes with music and visuals to choose from that included Nostalgic, Inspired, Playful, Birthday, Night Out, Thankful, Epic, Amped, Tropical, and Bollywood.
With the feature coming on Android beta now, users will now be able to create their own Slideshow without having to scroll explicitly through their News Feed to find another slideshow.
You just have to tap on the top of the writing canvas that is present inside the app and a new window will be opened that will display multiple options like photos, videos, Check In, Go Live etc. There will also be a new Slideshow option, which upon clicking will take the user to the Slideshow editor of Facebook.
To make a Slideshow, you need at least three photos that are in your phone and you can preferably choose one of the already given music themes. You can even give the Slideshow a title that will stay at the top.
If you want your Slideshow to go in HD, there's toggle at the top of the Slideshow to turn it on. This is a part of the Facebook's newly-introduced HD video uploading feature. This feature is still in testing and a broader rollout can be expected to occur soon enough.
