Facebook is offering a purple flower for your Mother

Reminder!! Mother's Day is almost here. We are proud of those who have already planned a gift for their Mother. But for those who are thinking "What to buy “what to do", after reading the reminder, fret not, Facebook is here.

Facebook is offering a new "Reaction" but only for Mother's day. The giant social media platform is offering digital flower, a dainty purple flower icon to test out some temporary Facebook reactions. The flower was spotted by Twitter user Sreedev Sharma in Facebook's source code. Facebook also confirmed the news by commenting, "To celebrate Mother's Day, we are testing the experience for people in a few markets to leave a flower reaction."

The company didn't confirm the markets where the flowers would show up, however it did confirm to The Verge that the United States isn't one of them. In the regions where digital flower will be displayed, it will disappear from the options box after Sunday. Nevertheless, it would still show on posts where it was left.

After three months of expanding the like button with a range of other responses, this is the first time the company has offered a temporary reaction and all for a cause- to offer your token of love to the most beautiful woman in the world.
