Live videos and artificial intelligence are two of the most happening affairs at the Facebook house presently. Now, in an attempt to further boost its Live video, Facebook is coming up with yet another feature to convert these videos to work of art, similar to the popular mobile app Prisma.
On Tuesday, the company’s chief product officer, Chris Cox and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, unveiled the prototype camera technology at the WSJD Live Conference event.

Using a 'Style Transfer' technique, users can match the style of any famous art piece. Based on open source technology, this tech makes use of convolutional neural networks to stylize your content. It can be easily used with Facebook Live, with the already in-app available filters.
Though Facebook has copied Prisma this time, instead of Snapchat, the company has managed to create the difference. Facebook claims that the new tech can apply the software to live broadcasts in real time, unlike Prisma where you can apply the effect only after capturing a picture.
"We're making the camera a really nice creative tool, and that's the kind of thing we're very invested in right now," Chris Cox said.
He also mentioned that CEO Mark Zuckerberg is expected to announce the release of this tech in the coming weeks.
