ex-OYO exec Nikhil Agrawal joins Powerhouse91 as Co-founder and Chief of Corporate Development

Thrasio's Indian Alternative, Powerhouse91 has announced the appointment of Nikhil Agrawal as Chief Corp Dev Officer. In his new role, Nikhil will join the founding team of the company and lead acquisitions and fundraising. Nikhil brings more than 15 years of experience across M&A, Fund Raising, Investments, Capital Markets, Debt Financing, Joint Ventures, Partnerships, and Venture Capital.

Most recently, he was heading Corporate Development at OYO Hotels and Homes. Before this, he has worked with marquee organizations such as Bharti Airtel, Standard Chartered Bank, and Credit Suisse. Thus, Nikhil adds a wide array of expertise from across businesses to the team, the company said in a statement.

Aqib Mohammed and Shashwat Diesh, co-founders at Powerhouse91, said, "We are extremely excited to have Nikhil on board. Nikhil also joins Powerhouse91 in the co-founder's position.

The company acquires successful e-commerce brands. It then helps its founders exit with a profit percentage. Powerhouse91 enables these acquired e-commerce businesses to scale on Supply Chain, Marketing, Product, and Technology parameters.

On joining as the co-founder and Chief Corp Dev Officer, Nikhil said, "E-commerce in India has and will continue to provide a solid platform for entrepreneurs to create great brands with a sizable scale. Powerhouse91 provides a boost to the seller ecosystem in India by allowing them to derive a large financial outcome while also taking their brands to the next level."

Powerhouse91 aims to be a critical enabler in the growth of India's e-commerce sector in the coming decade. The company is looking forward to acquiring up to 25 e-commerce brands over the coming year.
