Elon Musk to unveil Tesla's all-electric semi-truck on October 26

Tesla which had earlier set September as the timeframe for the grand launch of its all-electric semi-truck is now going to unveil the big rig on October 26. The new date has been confirmed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in a Twitter post.

In his tweet, on Wednesday, Musk said the unveiling and test drives of the truck would be "tentatively" scheduled for October 26, leaving an opening to push the date back further. Not all that much is known about Tesla's electric semi truck but Musk described the vehicle as " heavy duty, long-range, high-torque semi designed to alleviate heavy duty trucking loads," in a Ted talk.

The electric semi truck would "deliver a substantial reduction in the cost of cargo transport while increasing safety and making it really fun to operate," he wrote last year. Additionally, Musk is also hoping to bring electric pickups in the next two years.
