With most national entrances tests postponed, many students are wondering if NEET 2020 exams are postponed as well. The original examinations were planned for May and later scheduled for July 2020 due to coronavirus.
Now, the students are doubtful if NTA will take exams in July. These doubts are due to the rising number of coronavirus cases, which is a threat to many. NTA nights as well push NEET 2020 to another date, if the situation does not subside. However, students should continue to study.
Students across the nation are demanding the cancellation or postponement of the upcoming exams. Everyone fears the covid-19 pandemic and their fears are justified. Almost every day, we can see various tweets from candidates asking HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal to postpone the exams. Students and parent have flooded his posts with cancellation requests. Not only NEET 2020, but students are demanding to cancel JEE Mains 2020, CA, CS and NCHM JEE exams.
The exams have been already postponed twice and as we look at the current situation, the exams may be postponed even further. As of now, it is only a plea. So, let’s take a look at what the students are asking.
Students demand NEET 2020 postponement
1. One student tweeted of a fake notice that was being circulated on WhatsApp.
#postponeneet
Got it on whatsapp dont know real or fake.....?? pic.twitter.com/xZn2eaU5G8— Makardwaj Bhosle (@BhosleMakardwaj) June 16, 2020
Students, this is a fake notice. There is no official notice from NTA regarding postponement post-July 26.
2.While some favour that the exams should happen, most of them don't want it.
If I say something on this they will say I haven't studied well for exam & that's fine. But really if u want to be a doctor u have to study till you are treating ur patients. U have to study ur whole life. medical is not only cracking neet UG. #postponeneet @DG_NTA https://t.co/P3m44E5Xvp

Also,
3. Some are even ready to five the exams but they demand an answer to what will be the consequences.
Sir,
Wearing mask for straight 4 hrs is suffocating, distributing OMR sheets, pen, papers will increase lot of contact. There might be asymptomatic carrier students or invigilator.
Its difficult to appear for compititive exams in such panicking situation.#postponeneet#postponejee— Saniya Shaikh (@SaniyaS83083041) June 16, 2020
4. This decision also brings the Government into question:
Brother there will be no change in dates as the government has become deaf...
They do not want to listen to the students. They just want to do the dirty politics. They don't care if it harms the life of lakhs of students.#neet2020postpone #healthoverexam #postponeneet @DrRPNishank— Shourya Sharma (@Shourya29144930) June 16, 2020
5. Finally, people fear the consequences of what will happen to them post returning from the exam hall.
This is a very true and real situation that can happen Sir @DrRPNishank Just in the same way people aren't welcoming migrant labours from Maharashtra, similarly they would let us peacefully return home. Please #postponeneet #HealthOverExams https://t.co/mIX8JbPdJy
