Your top priority while making decisions to improve tech infra in your organization?

With technological advancements at the helm, organizations are rehashing their core businesses to align themselves with disruptive technologies. When it comes to digital transformation journey, it doesn’t belong to one individual, employee or department. Success is achieved when the whole company works towards the common goal. That's what we do at SUSE. While making any decision we double check that how it's going to impact our employees. Simultaneously, we build a community where everyone can be benefitted together. SUSE always believes in copyleft, not copyright!

Do you feel that freshers in the industry come with only basic knowledge but don’t have right skills to fulfill job requirements? If yes, your suggestion to students and colleges.

I do agree that most of the freshers come with “basic” knowledge, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t worth the position. See, students/freshers are like clay, who can be molded and shaped. They just need to have the right potter, I mean leader/guide who can develop the skill set required for the particular position. I strongly believe that “Not degree, but your skills, will get you a job”.

What’s your mantra to become successful in life?

Travel! I believe free spirits can be more creative and innovative at work. Einstein famously described insanity as "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

If we want to be treated as the leader, whom employees trust and follow, it’s time to see the other side of the world.

What would you like to give back to the society?

I am honored to work with SUSE because the message it gives “believe in copyleft, not in copyright”, that’s exactly I feel when it comes to giving back to the society. I am personally looking at giving back the wisdom and knowledge that I have gathered in all these years to the young generation as that might be relevant for them. On this note, I am also actively engaged with an Old Age Home which works with Terminal Illness.
