1. How are you personally dealing with the pandemic? Are there any new activities that you picked?

We are a massively innovative company. While we are affected moderately, we are gearing up for the resurgence in demand expected because of the lockdown being lifted gradually. Globus Infocom is prepared enough to easily tide through such low times and identify growth opportunities amidst the ongoing crisis. Being the pioneers in the education technology industry, we can easily foresee the increase in the demand of e-learning, cloud-based learning & business solutions. The whole world is turning towards going digital and we are more than ready to help schools, organization and institutions to carry on with their regular business without any interruption.

Also, being an organisation with a visionary mindset, we have been focusing upon bringing out the positive from this scenario and leaving the negativity behind. In such circumstances, we have come up with our newest vertical Healthcare & Wellness to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens of this country as the economy begins to open up gradually. Our company is also well-prepared to take on the surge in demand in e-learning solutions, virtual classrooms, digital technology, digital signage and smart security & surveillance solutions as the country comes out of the lockdown.

Recently, our company has expanded our vertical from existing Education Technology, Digital Signage, Security & Surveillance to Healthcare & Wellness. Our segment includes holistic, technology-driven solutions for early detection, isolation and management of suspected cases of any infectious illness. After the intensive research and diligent efforts of our product development team, we have developed solutions that aim to control an outbreak at public places, organizations, industrial units, offices and healthcare facilities. This vertical has innovated and improvised high-end technology solutions to create a safer & healthier world for everyone by curbing the spread of viral infections.

2. What were some of the things you miss while working from home? How did you maximize your employee’s productivity while working from home?

The face to face meetings where all the collaboration and brainstorming took place was one of the many things that we missed while working from home. However, being a company that relies heavily on technology and agility, we deployed solutions like video conferencing to maintain much-needed communication between the teams. All the brainstorming sessions and discussions took place during lockdown via virtual conferencing and telecommunications. During this period, we made sure that none of our employees felt disconnected or left out. We focussed on product training and various other virtual activities to make everyone feel included and an active part of the organization.

3. How Covid-19 has affected your business and what are your plans?

While the phase has affected us moderately, we are gearing up for the resurgence in demand expected because of the lockdown being lifted gradually. Globus Infocom is prepared enough to easily tide through such low times and identify growth opportunities amidst the ongoing crisis. 4. Recently you have invested in the health sector. Was it pre-planned or launched because of a pandemic?

Globus Infocom is a trusted brand among various organizations in India. Our existing customers are very satisfied with our services and therefore, they encouraged and pressurized us to introduce this vertical in our line-up. Our Healthcare & Wellness vertical beautifully synergizes with our existing products to create a digitally empowered as well as a safe environment for all.

5. The pandemic has affected every sector. Has it decreased your revenue?

The pandemic has affected all the sectors of the economy drastically. However, being farsighted, we planned things well in advanced and fortunately, the circumstances didn’t have that much of detrimental effect on our business. Furthermore, our company has been devising innovative and affordable solutions in the field of online learning and virtual classroom, that is much in demand these days due to the prevalent conditions. Also, for enterprise communication solutions, we have witnessed an upsurge since video conferencing has become the new norm for corporate communications.

6. What are your business/market growth?

Though the pandemic has been an unfortunate phase for the whole country & the business communities, we tried to remain strategic & mulled over creating business opportunities by coming up with solutions to ease up the regular business collaborations & learning activities from home. We can say that there has been a surge in demand for the online learning & collaboration solutions which has lead to around 60% growth in the business revenue.

7. Being a pioneer of the industry, what all changes you want to do in the industry?

With our industry expertise of more than two-decade, we would certainly like to meaningful changes measured by our learning during such tough phases. I reckon since India has always been the country of high skills & talent, It’s high time we should really think of indigenisation and take steps towards making India the manufacturing hub. That should reduce our dependency on other countries anyway.

Also, Being open to the implementation of technology in our business operations can prepare us to run the business smoothly in any condition. The technology we're already exposed and accustomed to has paved the way for us to innovate further, and this list of current and future technologies certainly have the potential to change our lives even more. And last but not the least, we must be aware as a community of being able to provide an environment-friendly business structure which could provide sustainable & effective solutions to the society.
