MUMBAI, INDIA: The Cricket Club of India (CCI), established in 1933, and one of the premier cricket clubs in the country was looking at PC refresh.
The background:
In a bid to meet the compliance and regulation rules, the IT committee at CCI wanted to upgrade the MS Server 2008, MS Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Home Basic, Tally and MS Office installed on their Lenovo PCs to newer versions.
Enter Enjay:
CCI would have paid the expensive license fees for original MS licenses had not Limesh Parekh, CMD, Enjay IT Solutions, insisted on a PoC (proof of concept) of his home-grown solution Tiguin OS, a Linux-based operating system for 10 users.
“The IT team was convinced with the easy installation and performance of our OS, and also appreciated the our prompt pre-and post-sales support,” remarked Parekh.
CIO speak:
Kailash Choudhary IT Head, The Cricket club of India, opined, “The Enjay team successfully implemented Tiguin OS in a day, and there was no downtime. We are very happy with the outcome, chief among them is savings on hardware, improved speed, virus protection and a cost effective licensing solution.”
The solution was deployed by Murtuza Electricwala, MD, Shell Computers, Mumbai.
