Commvault opens the second R&D centre in Bangalore

BANGALORE, INDIA: Data protection and information management solutions vendor, Commvault has today announced the opening of a new research and development centre in Bangalore. This is the second development centre the information management company has in India after its Hyderabad facility which was set up 10 years ago.

The facility accommodates more than 200 employees, and together with existing facilities in New Jersey and Hyderabad, plays a critical role in accelerating the development of its recently launched next generation solutions portfolio, including the Commvault Data Platform. Engineers will focus on further enhancing the platform's promise of a truly open, searchable and automated way for organizations to manage their information and remove risk in their adoption of new technologies.

The decision to replace the existing smaller facility and upgrade to a more expansive and collaborative environment, comes in response to the organization's priority to support a truly global product roadmap for customers worldwide. It is staffed with engineers who work closely with sales, professional services, support and marketing professionals to align innovation closely with customer and market needs.
