Cleartrip now lets you book an Uber within its app

Online travel booking platform Cleartrip has partnered with cab-aggregator Uber that will allow people booking their trip through Cleartrip, to book an Uber from the Cleartrip app itself. Users will also get contextual local activity suggestions along with ride requests.

"We are excited to enable a new channel for our product suite through this partnership with Uber. We are sure this will increase the discoverability of our Local product. We have always innovated on customer experience and this will further the cause by taking the local activity right to the users when they most likely need one," Cleartrip Chief Marketing Officer Subramanya Sharma said.

Cleartrip currently has over 15,000 activities in over 200 categories with a presence in more than 50 cities that includes luxury bike rentals, yachting, culinary classes, food walks, segway tours, adventure, go karting, photography trails, hiking etc.

"Anyone booking airline tickets, and local activities on Cleartrip will now also be able to book a ride in the Cleartrip app, without leaving the site or switching apps. It’s one less thing to worry about as you get ready to hit the road," Uber said in a statement.
