UIDAI website tried to make every users’ life easy, so they enable users to track Aadhaar status. When you enrolled for a new Aadhaar card, you get an acknowledgement slip. This slip contains Enrolment ID (EID) and time of enrolment. Using this info you can check Aadhaar status.

How to check Aadhaar status online by enrollment number?
Step 1: Visit the official Aadhaar card website of UIDAI - https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Hover your mouse on “My Aadhaar” and go to the ‘Get Aadhaar’ segment where you will see the ‘Check Aadhaar Status’ option below the Locate an Enrolment centre.

You can directly search for “check Aadhar status” and click on the first UIDAI link.
Step 3: Check the acknowledgement slip to enter your Enrolment ID, date and time of enrolment, and captcha code then click on “Check Status” button.
Step 4: If your Aadhaar is generated, then you will get a message for the same and you will get an option to download Aadhaar card.
How to check Aadhaar Status without Enrolment ID (EID)?
In case you have lost your EID or acknowledgement slip, then the process to check Aadhar status will route from retrieving your EID and then track the status of Aadhaar.
Steps to retrieve lost or forgotten EID or UID
Step 1: Visit the official Aadhaar card website of UIDAI - https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Hover your mouse on “My Aadhaar” and go to the ‘Get Aadhaar’ segment where you will see the ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’ option.

You can directly search for “Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID” and click on the first UIDAI link.
Step 3: Select option ‘Enrolment ID (EID)’ and fill in the required details including Full Name, Mobile No. or Email Address. Then enter the Captcha code and click on ‘Send OTP’. You will receive OTP on your registered mobile no then you can proceed by clicking on ‘Enter OTP’ button.
Step 4: Once the UIDAI server will verify your details, it will send the Enrolment number/Aadhaar number to the email ID and mobile number.
Step 6: Now using this enrolment number, you can check the status of Aadhaar.
How to check Aadhaar Status through Mobile Number?
Consumers can also check your Aadhaar status using their registered mobile number.
Create a new SMS and type in “UID STATUS <14 digit enrolment number>” then send it to 51969.
If your Aadhaar is generated then you will get an SMS containing your Aadhaar number, else you get status update SMS.
