CBSE 2021: Class 10th and 12th Date Sheet Announced; 5 Things You Need To Know

CBSE 2021 was the highlight on the last day of 2020. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the dates of the exam in a live interaction. He said, “I had announced earlier that there will be no exams till February due to the unpredictable situation. In the current circumstances, after deliberations, we have decided the dates for CBSE 2021 board exams for classes 10 and 12 - May 4 to June 10.”

Students should also check the official CBSE website cbse.nic.in for final 2021 date-sheets; for both theoretical and practical board examinations, he said. The minister told the students that the Board has reduced the curriculum for Class 10 and 12 by 30 per cent. He also wished the students good luck for the upcoming exams as he concluded the live session.

5 Key Things You Need To Know

1. The Board examinations for Class X and XII will commence from 4th May 2021 (Tuesday).

2. Schools can conduct Practical/ Project /Internal Assessment of Class XII from 1st March 2021 (Monday) to the last date of conduct of theory examination of the same class.

3. Similarly, schools can also conduct the Practical/ Project /Internal Assessment of Class X from 1st March 2021 (Monday) to the last date of conduct of theory examination of the same class.

4. Date Sheet of both Class X and XII will be issued soon.

S. CBSE will also inform all the stakeholders about information related to examinations from time to time. Information will be made available on the CBSE website. CBSE has advised not to treat correctly all information available on any other platform including social media if it is not available on Boards' website.

Are students issues for CBSE 2021 resolved?

There have been appeals from states, students, parents and teachers to conduct the exams later than usual. This would allow students more time for offline interaction with their teachers in school before appearing for the exams. The Delhi government had also appealed to conduct the test in May.

Citing the digital divide, he had also ruled out the possibility of holding the examinations online. Thus, the decision looks like in favour of the students, which they are happy about.
