Fintech startup Cashfree has launched ‘Payment links for Donations’. The company aims to help organisations raise funds and accept payments digitally for COVID-19 relief. They can create a link using the sites Payment Gateway Dashboard. The USP of the link is, that it does not require any additional coding for integration.
Organisations can even list the link on their website and share it through WhatsApp, SMS, email to collect donations. Further, for organizations that are collecting donations for COVID-19 relief, the company has announced that it will waive off all payment gateway processing fees on transactions up to Rs 10 lakhs. It will also enable a 15 minutes payment gateway settlement at no cost. Some prominent users of the donation links include crowdfunding platforms such as Ketto, Milaap, Socionity, etc.
The links will accept donations digitally via 100+ payment modes. These include net banking, UPI, cards, Paytm etc.
Other initiatives
Cashfree is also supporting #MissionOxygen initiated by Democracy People Foundation. The latter aims to procure 6,000+ oxygen concentrators and donate to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country. Further, in association with online crowdfunding platform Ketto, Cashfree will contribute Rs 1 for every Rs 1 received as a donation on the platform, up to a total of Rs 40 lakh, for oxygen concentrators.

Cashfree has also announced a host of initiatives to help employees with Covid-19 care. The company has provided unlimited leaves for its employees who contract the virus. Under this policy, any employee suffering from Covid-19 can avail of unlimited paid leaves until they are ready to resume work. The company has also announced unlimited paid leaves for Covid-19 family care.
If employees or their immediate family members test positive for Covid-19, the company will offer an advance salary for incidental expenses. This will be in addition to the group medical insurance cover. It will also reimburse the costs of the Covid-19 diagnosis test, home quarantine expenses and hospitalization costs up to ₹25,000. Further, the company has pledged to cover vaccination expenses for employees and their dependents.
