BookMyShow.com intros free app for iOS and Android

NEW DELHI, INDIA: India's most popular ticket booking portal BookMyShow.com has released a free app called BookMyShow 2.0 for iOS and BookMyShow 3.0 for Android users.

The new app brings some useful elements like a synopsis page, where one can get complete details on movies and watch trailers, access show time availability details, save tickets in iPhone passbook and make payments instantly through quick pay mode.

The app is a step up over the previous app, which was launched on iOS in October 2010 and on Android in April 2011. This app was an immense success and as per the company's claims saw more than 4 million downloads across the two platforms. The introduction of the new app also seems to be doing well with smartphone users and according to the company around 1 million users have already updated to it.
