MUMBAI, INDIA: Bharti Airtel has claimed that its claims including fastest Internet speed are based on rigorous test conditions.
The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) had last week, issued a notice to the Bharti Airtel asking it to withdraw or modify its on-going 4G speed challenge advertisement, labelling it as misleading. In response, the telco is providing technical data to support its claim.
"The company is confident of getting a favourable response from ASCI," Bharti Airtel said in a communiqué to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"Bharti Airtel is the only commercial providers of this world class technology in India and the advertising campaign of the company revolves around the promise of fastest Internet speeds and features a set of claims that are based on rigorous test conditions," the company said.
"The company is confident of getting a favourable response from ASCI," it said.
