Samsung has been in news throughout last year. Obviously, Galaxy Note 7 fiasco ate the largest piece of the cake; however, the anticipation for its successor, i.e. Galaxy S8 was never low. Confirming most of the rumours, the latest report says that the two flagship Galaxy S8 devices will come with even larger displays than Galaxy S7 and there will be no home button in S8.

Yes, you read it right, folks! Samsung is finally getting rid of the physical home button and expanding the display to the bottom, right down to the edges. The two devices will be coming in two models- one 5.8-inch display version and other with a 6.2-inch display and both will sport Samsung’s “edge” display, which curves downward on both sides of the handset.

The report adds that Galaxy S8 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, but only in some markets. Other devices will be powered by Exynos SoC. Like Snapdragon 835, Exynos processors will also use 10-nanometer fabrication methods. The S8 is expected to see 11 percent faster processing compared to the Galaxy S7, 20 percent more energy efficient and 23 percent faster graphics processing.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S8 could come with a 12MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera, which will feature visual search functionality. The S8 is also expected to sport the Iris scanner which is positioned on the back of the device.

While rumours said that Galaxy S8 will come with 6GB RAM, Blass says the device will come with 4GB RAM, with 64GB ROM "becoming the new baseline in internal storage across the board (expandable to 256GB via microSD)". The 5.8-inch S8 will be backed by a 3000 mAh battery while the 6.2-inch S8 will be packed with 3500 mAh battery.

As it was mentioned in our report, Samsung will retain the legendary 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike Apple. However, like Apple's iPhones, Galaxy S8 will get force touch functionality, "on the lower part of the display and will be able to distinguish between the pressure put on the display."

The report also confirms that the device will be adorned with its very own digital assistant, Bixby.

The 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 will be priced around $953, whereas the 5.8-inch version is expected to be priced around $850.
