It’s been six years since Google announced it Android Jelly Bean mobile operating system, still, it shares around 3.5 per cent of market share globally, according to XDA Developers. Meaning more than a billion users out their still running their smartphones on the OS which is massive.
Android apps generally work on all the platforms and get support, while others may require the higher version of Android for the support. Google Chrome is one of the most popular apps in Android devices and a large amount of Android user has it as their default browser. According to a new commit, Google could stop supporting Chrome for Jelly Bean 4.1-4.3 OS users.
This could impact massively as most of the users have it as their default browser for news, web surfing, etc. We don’t have any certain timeline for this, but can be very soon.
