Apple released the beta update for iOS 11.3 to its public beta testing group. Apart from four new Animoji, the update includes battery health monitoring and power management features.
The battery health feature in iOS 11.3 shows users the health of their iPhone battery, and also recommend if a battery needs to be serviced. It will be found within Settings--Battery. Next up is the power management feature that dynamically manages maximum performance to prevent unexpected shutdowns. This feature can also be turned on and off from Settings--Battery.
iOS 11.3 also introduces four new Animoji characters to the iMessages app, giving iPhone users new ways to express themselves. The new Animojis launched are bear, dragon, lion, and skull. Additionally, Apple has launched Business Chat feature in the iMessages app which allows businesses to directly communicate with users.
Other features include ARKit 1.5, AirPlay 2 multi-room audio, Advanced Mobile Location(sharing more accurate location info when placing an emergency call in a supported country), Apple News For You and the Health app which has the new Health records feature where you can store your medical records.
Beta testers who are part of Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 11.3 beta update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on an iOS device. Apple says iOS 11.3 will be released to the public in spring.
