Besides three new iPhone models, an LTE-enabled smartwatch, Apple's CEO Tim Cook also unveiled a new generation of its streaming device- the Apple TV 4K at the Steve Jobs theater yesterday. The Apple TV 4K offers two new features- High Dynamic Range(HDR) and high-resolution support of 4K.
The new Apple TV will also support the premium Dolby Vision format, which adds a layer of extra scene by scene information TVs can use to improve the way they present Dolby Vision-encoded HDR content.
Inside the Apple TV 4K is A10X Fusion, the SoC the company previously used in its mammoth iPad Pro tablet. The Apple TV works with iPhone and iPad, letting people watch photos and videos from their portable devices on the big screen.
