iOS 9.3.1 was released by Apple Inc. specifically to fix some serious concerns with iOS 9.3. The latest version was hurried through, but the company succeeded in what it was hoping to achieve with the latest update.
However, the story doesn’t end there. The latest version of Apple’s OS comes with an interesting hidden feature first discovered by 9to5Mac.
When Apple released iOS 9.3.1, it removed the feature to keep Night Shift and Low Power Mode enabled simultaneously. The ability to turn on both features was already hidden and only possible by using Siri, but the iOS 9.3.1 update made it so that Siri would disable one of them before enabling another.
Fret not. Following the below mentioned step will easily let you use both modes simultaneously once again.
- Access Battery under Settings and Enable Low Power Mode.
- After starting Siri, ask it to Enable Night Shift.
- Siri will ask the user to turn off Low Power Mode, to which reply ‘Yes’.
- Press the sleep button before Siri’s response is complete.
- After unlocking the iPhone, your both modes will be enabled as long as the aforementioned steps are carried out the way they are supposed to be.
Interestingly this secret feature appears to be more a handy bug in iOS 9.3.1 than something Apple created by design and we can enjoy it until or unless Apple decides to address this ‘bug’ in the next update for its iOS.
