Apple Event: Launch of four variants of 5G supported iPhone 12; What to expect?

Apple teased the "Hi, Speed" Apple Event that goes live at 10:30 PM IST today. The speculation is, that it will release 4 models of iPhone 12, a HomePod Mini and a wireless charger. The keenly anticipated iPhone 12 models are the highlight of the Apple Event as they will support 5G telecom networks!

On the other hand, Apple will introduce a selection of 4 iPhone 12 models in multiple sizes! Unlike the previous versions where there were 3 models, this one contains ‘mini iPhone 12’. Some Apple rivals have already produced 5G models. Meanwhile, China is far ahead of the US when it comes to the new-generation networks.

Apple Event iPhone 12 Rumors

Rumours that are swirling ahead of the event include that Apple will unveil new iPhones in an array of sizes. This includes a small model with a 5.4-inch (13.7-centimetre) screen to one with a 6.7-inch screen, measured diagonally. That is, this year Apple plans to launch four new iPhones including two “standard” models and two “pro” models. This would be for the first time Apple will offer four iPhone models, ranging in size from 5.4-inches to 6.7-inches. All four models will have a new design language with sharper edges around the corners and a slightly smaller notch.

The four new iPhone models at the event are iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the iPhone 12 mini. All new models will have 5G support, though their US versions are said to have antennae for faster, mmWave frequencies. Apart from the new iPhone models, Apple may announce its new HomePod/HomePod Mini or over-the-ear headphones at today's event.

Initial reports suggested that it would launch its AirTags alongside the 2020 iPhone family. However, that plan seems to have been changed.
