WWDC 2021 comes in the virtual format for the second time starting today at 10:30 PM IST. The annual developer Apple event will introduce new versions of software across the Apple ecosystem. These may include iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, etc and perhaps even a new 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pro at the event on June 7. Other leaks suggest some health and mindfulness apps and updates in the Apple Watch.

Is iOS 15 in the pipeline?
The tech giant might provide the iOS 15 release date during the WWDC 2021 event. After it announces the iOS, the company will make it available for developers for testing and then, the public. WWDC will likely also announce the iPad-specific iPad OS 15 along with the iOS 15 release date, or at least a preview this month. The company may roll out the iOS 15 for the public later in 2021 around the third or fourth week of September; a few days before we get the new iPhone 13 lineup in our hands as well.

Some features in the iOS 15 will include a new notification shade that also allows interactive widgets. Further, the company aims to safeguard user privacy better by showing the list of apps that silently collect user data (and what). Apple is also working on some iMessage updates to ensure it can compete against WhatsApp and Messenger.
A new mindfulness app for Apple Watch
A new App Store leak, (courtesy of developer Khaos Tian), suggests that Apple plans to announce a brand new "Mind" app across its different platforms. It will also perhaps introduce standalone Tips and Contacts app for Apple Watch; presumably as part of the watchOS 8 updates. Tian noticed that Apple accidentally updated the App Store manifest with new app ID bundle identifiers with the codename for Apple Watch apps.
MacRumors suggests that Apple already offers a Breathe app on Apple Watch. Thus, the Mind app may be an expansion or replacement of the app to better suit mental health needs. A WSJ Reporter also confirmed leaks on other WWDC announcements, including updates on Health, Safari, iMaps etc.
New MacBook Pro with M1 Chips
Apple is also rumoured to launch a new MacBook Pro at WWDC 2021. It will launch in 14-inch and 16-inch models with a redesigned chassis and more ports, according to some leaks. A MacRumors report, citing Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives’ investor note, claims that Apple has a “few surprises” in-store. Ives claims that the new MacBook Pros will launch at the WWDC 2021. He, however, claims that they will feature the already-existing M1 chip.
In addition, reports have also reaffirmed the belief that Apple plans to announce its AR glasses - Apple Glasses at WWDC 2021 and the Apple Car in 2024.
