Some quality-of-life improvements on Among Us come ahead of more substantial changes. Such as the forthcoming map, which in all likelihood will be revealed at the Game Awards on December 10. Elsewhere, an overhaul of the game's accounts system is in the works, with "reporting and moderation" the big focus in that area. Innersloth announced the plans for the map back in September. In the blog post, the devs stated that they were not working on Among Us 2, but a detailed Henry Stickmin-themed location.
Henry Stickmin is another game series that InnerSloth co-founder Marcus "PuffballsUnited" Bromander created. The stick-like protagonist is a multi-talented character. We also know the map will be bigger than Polus, with "plenty of new tasks," and will be free for all players. The teaser itself does not reveal much. It shows a shiny new cockpit with an all-important vent in the middle; a flight of stairs and a navigation pit-like system. The map looks like it's the airship from Henry Stickmin.
Among Us Map Reveal Date
InnerSloth plans on revealing more at the Game Awards. The awards function takes place on 10th December (or in the early hours of 11th December). Given that event's history of surprises, it wouldn't be at all shocking if the map was made playable the same night as the awards. If not, at the very least Among Us will likely announce the release date during the show. With the holidays coming soon and gamers about to have even more free time on their hands; it would make sense when the new map comes out by the end of the year.
