'Amazon's Choice' to simplify buying laptops online

Amazon.in today announced "Amazon’s Choice", a global program for customers in India. Aiming to simplify shopping for high-involvement categories, Amazon’s Choice lets customers pick a product in that category by their intended usage scenario.

Customers can easily access the Amazon’s Choice shopping experience right from the home page or simply by searching for generic keywords like “laptop”.

The program has been currently introduced only to assist customers shopping for Laptops on Amazon.in. For example, the most common usage scenarios identified in the Laptops category are home, work, travel or gaming. Customers can identify the usage scenario that best describes their situation and get a recommendation for a single product.

Noor Patel, Director Category Management, Amazon India said, “With the festive season just round the corner, this is an opportune time to launch Amazon’s Choice to make the shopping experience for customers simple, hassle-free and enjoyable.”

The program will expand to several other categories over the next few months.

Providing access to millions of products across hundreds of categories, Amazon, the largest Internet-based retailer in the world is also offering guaranteed fast free delivery in 100 cities, through Amazon Prime.
