Airtel & Intex partner to launch affordable 4G smartphones starting Rs 1,649

Bharti Airtel has teamed up with Intex Technologies to launch a range of affordable 4G smartphones. Under this partnership, Airtel has announced Intex Aqua Lions N1, a new 4G smartphone which will be available to Airtel customers at an effective price of Rs 1,649(market price Rs 3,799). The dual-SIM 4G smartphone is powered by MTK chipset and features a 4-inch full-touch WVGA screen, 2-megapixel rear camera, and a VGA front camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB.

Customers need to make a payment of Rs 3,149 for the Aqua Lions N1. The customer is required to make 36 continuous recharges of Rs 169 from Airtel. After 18 months, the customer will get a refund of Rs 500 and another Rs 1,000 after 36 months, totaling the cash benefit to Rs 1,500. In case the customer does not wish to opt for the Rs 169 plan, he/she has the flexibility of doing recharges of any denomination. However, to claim the cash refund benefit, recharges worth Rs 3,000 must be done within the first 18 months (to claim the first refund installment of Rs 500) and another Rs 3,000 over the next 18 months (to claim the second refund installment of Rs 1,000).

In addition to Intex Aqua Lions N1, Airtel also launched Intex Aqua A4 which comes at an effective price of Rs 1,999(market price Rs 4,999). The device is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB. The phone consists 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter.

The company also introduced Intex Aqua S3, which is available at an effective price of Rs 4,379(market price Rs 6,649). It comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB. The device has 8-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front camera and is backed by 2,450 mAh battery.

All the new devices are Android-powered and offer full access to other apps from Google Play Store, including YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The smartphones are pre-loaded with MyAirtel app, Airtel Tv, and Wynk Music that offers great experience to customers.
