What is Among Us?

Among Us is an online social deduction game. Here, a number of players take on the role of crewmates. They work together to complete tasks on different space settings like a spaceship or base, but there are imposters in the game. Their aim is to sabotage the ship and kill off the crewmates while trying to blend in.

Crewmates must try to stay alive and correctly identify the impostor(s) via emergency meetings. They can discuss and talk among themselves why a player is or is not an impostor. The players can debate potential suspects and have the option to vote off a crewmate. So, if the Crewmates identify all imposters, they win the game, and if they don't, the Imposters win the game.

The game also had Ghosts. Well, when a Crewmate or an Imposter dies, they become a Ghost. These can't speak in the meeting, but still, carry on their tasks. Their part is small, but it ensures that the players remain till the end till the next round to start.

The credit of the game's popularity goes to its accessibility, as in the game specs. The game, Among Us, is free on mobile, costs approx $5 on PC, and doesn't need many equipments to play. Plus, it's cross-platform. So, mobile and PC gamers can play together.

Considering the recent months and the Coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people have taken to video games. And Among Us is perfect for the reason that you don't have to be a professional gamer to be successful.

Not to mention, that the game is cruel, cunning and cute at the same time. A user has to use his/her brain to catch an imposter or kill a crewmate. 1. The avatars weren't originally the bean-shaped ones that are right now. In early illustrations, they were almost star-shaped instead. There was also an orb-shaped crewmate and a crewmate without its backpack.

2. The Ghost part of the game might change to "Guardian Angels". This is literally the most boring part of the game - you die, you become a ghost just working or wrecking the ship. Where's the thrill in that? The founders have, thus, hinted that they might change it to "Guardian Angels". We don't know much about the exact changes in Ghosts, but perhaps they will be able to guide, save and hint other players in codes.

3. Pretty sus is the new vogue. Everyone you meet will be calling suspicious stuff as "Pretty sus" in the game. And that's not limited to the game anymore; its memes, tweet replies and has fascinatingly outdone "ok boomer". To be honest, its a pretty cruel word in the game, because the result could be the death of a Crewmate. But then, it is just a game.

4. The developers wanted to change/update the game. But so many gamers are enjoying Among Us right now, thus the developers are focusing to improve what works right now.
