The Internet is at the take off stage in India, all over the world it has already taken off. The financial world jumped ahead of itself in 1999-2000, thinking the Internet was going to be the next big opportunity and started giving it crazy valuations.

Very interesting. Wireless broadband internet will take the internet to rural areas in the next decade. Also we need to address the last mile of access, by actually having information distribution channels who will take the information and applications to people who do not have technology access or are illiterate. These could be NGOs, communities, rural entrepreneurs etc.

and congrats on 10 years!

I can not agree more with the author - and the headline. However, I have a doubt whether technology has made us humans more inhuman. I remember reports on ‘citizen journalists’ clicking away and forwarding images of the gory and terror of the London bomb blasts instead of helping the injured to first aid/hospital.

This article sounds a little weak in terms of data, more of adjectives used as pronounced speakers do when orating stories. Reality can be posed by data which seems to be missing. Moreover, when Internet has become a social element of human being, it also has negatives of social life. Few mentions are good but few are generic. I think you should choose an expert in the era or internet who has live experience.
