NEW DELHI, INDIA: Tata Consultancy Services on Tuesday announced the appointment of Ajoyendra Mukherjee, as the global head of HR, following S Padmanabhan's move to Tata Power as an executive director, operations.

Ritu Anand has been appointed as the deputy global head of human resources. Anand will report to Mukherjee in her new role.

Mukherjee was the vice president and head of operations, eastern region, TCS. A graduate of BITS (Pilani), Mukherjee joined TCS in 1980.

He has held key leadership positions and headed TCS operations in Switzerland and South Africa.
