Doraisamy to lead HP APJ

Doraisamy succeeds Tom Iannotti who will assume the role of managing director, Americas

SINGAPORE: HP on Tuesday appointed Balu Doraisamy, managing director, HP India, to head its Asia Pacific Japan region and as senior vice president for the Technology Solutions Group (TSG).

Doraisamy succeeds Tom Iannotti who has returned to the USA to assume the role of managing director, Americas.

Based in Singapore, Doraisamy will be responsible for continuing the focus on creating value for customers and profitable growth together with the region leadership team. "His impressive track record and years of experience as a country manager position him to build on HP's success in the geography," said Ann Livermore, executive vice president, Technology Solutions Group, HP.

Earlier he served as the managing director of Compaq Computer India Pvt. Ltd. He joined Digital Equipment Corporation, USA, in 1984 as senior technology consultant, based at Nashua. He holds a post-graduate degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in Mathematics.
