SAN FRANCISCO, U.S: Embarcadero Technologies, a provider of multi-platform database tools and developer software, announced the worldwide availability of Embarcadero RAD Studio XE, a suite of development tools that includes new versions of Delphi, C++Builder, Delphi Prism, and RadPHP XE.

The new “2011” release, known as RAD Studio XE, offers new capabilities to improve application performance, streamline the development process, and accelerate the time it takes to build ultra-fast, native Windows, .NET and Web applications, said a press release.

XE products feature support for multiple database types and deployment environments; Embarcadero ToolCloud technology for centralized license management and on-demand tool access; and an easy upgrade path to Embarcadero All-Access XE.

“Balancing productivity and performance is a perpetual challenge for development teams, especially when they are expected to quickly transition to new technologies and deliver quality applications with limited development resources,” said Michael Swindell, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Embarcadero.

He added, “With RAD Studio XE, teams can build faster and more complex applications by using ready-made components to take care of repeatable tasks and functions, enabling them to concentrate on the development areas that add the most value.”

The new enhancements would enable developers to:

* Create applications that access Microsoft Windows Azure platform storage services and easily deploy server
   applications with ‘push-button deploy’ to the Amazon EC2.

* Build multi-tier applications with the ability to build servers with both C++Builder and Delphi, new wizards for creating
  server applications and client modules, and support for JavaScript, REST and HTTP and HTTPS transport protocols.

* Streamline development processes with new integrated set of tools for testing, performance profiling, build automation
   and QA.

Visual web development for PHP has been added to the RAD Studio product family in the form of RadPHP XE. RadPHP XE offers developers a completely integrated, rapid visual development environment and component framework for PHP and Facebook application development.
